International Summer School @Fordham University, New York - H2CU World Heritage Studies

The stringent requirements in cultural heritage preservation and the emerging use of new solutions for consolidation, recovery, rehabilitation, re-functionality and energy retrofit of historic buildings, represents a new professional path required by the real world market.
Humanities focus is also dedicated to the preservation of ancient oral traditions from the Middle Ages by highlighting new dimensions of intangible cultural heritage such as the magic dimension, the power of rituals, the charms of liturgy, science, medicine, etc.
In this view, these two parallel 2-week long summer courses are aimed at sharing knowledge and new technical skills within these two umbrellas, both aimed at appreciating this legacy of physical science artifacts and intangible attributes for the current and next generations

Aristotle University Summer School: "Financial crime, corruption and money laundering: European and international perspectives"

The Research Institute for Transparency, Corruption and Financial Crime, Faculty of Law - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (http://anti-corruption.law.auth.gr/), hosts an intensive 8-day summer school on financial crime, corruption and money laundering at a national and international level, for participants who wish to advance their knowledge in this field.

The summer school will focus on ongoing developments in combating international fraud, international tax evasion and tax avoidance, corruption and money laundering, international and European anti-fraud mechanisms and procedures, etc.

ITMSS - International Tropical Medicine Summer School

Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia on behalf of MMSA (Muhammadiyah Medical Students' Activities) that affiliated with CIMSA (Center for Indonesian Medical Students' Activities) are delighted to present you the leading and the biggest annual summer school in Indonesia called ITMSS (International Tropical Medicine Summer School) that will be stepping on the 13th year this year.

ITMSS will be held on July 31st – August 19th 2017 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The theme is all about "Indonesian progress to develop tropical medicine in health care system".

International Summer School Natural Disasters Ljubljana 2017

University of Ljubljana (SI), University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences from Vienna (A), University of Brescia (I) and the company Piktorama (SI) are organising two international interdisciplinary summer schools in the framework of Erasmus+ 2015 project KA2-HE-14/15 entitled Environmental protection (in 2016) and Natural Disasters (in 2017). Both of them will be organised in the city of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
 
The second summer school Natural Disasters will be organised between May 21 and June 10, 2017. It is going to be a combination of blended learning supported by e-classroom and actual face-to-face learning. In the first week students will participate in recorded video lectures and they will check acquired knowledge by on-line tests to set up framework for live participation in lectures and workshops in Ljubljana in the next two weeks. The lectures and workshops will be led by international team of professors from all three involved universities as well as some other distinguished guests. Students are going to be actively involved in the work of summer school with discussions, round tables, laboratory work and preparations of different presentation and final exam. Successful participation will be rewarded by 5 ECTS.
 
The first 20 accepted applicants from University of Ljubljana, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences from Vienna and University of Brescia will obtain full scholarship for summer school attendance. The call will be opened also for other students in EU, but the total number of participants is limited up to 40. The call will be opened for Ph.D. students and also master students who are interested in further doctoral study.
 
Students who would like to attend summer school without live participation in Ljubljana could take part in the first week of blended learning and e-classroom activities as other participants, while later they will join lectures and workshops on-line. In such a case, registration fee is 300 EUR and participants will obtain attendance confirmation letter, but no ECTS.

Universidad Autonoma de Madrid Law Faculty- International Summer School

European and Comparative Law International Summer School 2017 

This two week course will take place from 22nd May until 2nd June 2017 and will offer students the unique opportunity to hear from experts in the field and participate in trips lead by professors, whilst spending their summer enriching their cultural knowldge in Spain around other international students.  The programme is conducted in English.

Scholarship Award: $2,500

A limited number of $2,500 competitive scholarships are available. Within the online program application, students will be prompted to submit an essay in order to compete for a scholarship.

The total program fee is $5,395 for students who are awarded a scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Be a current undergraduate student.
  • Have completed one year of study by July, 2017.
  • Be in good academic standing.
  • Have English Language Test (ELT) results with:
    • a minimum score of 90iBt on the TOEFL;
    • a minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS; or
    • a minimum score of Level B2 on the CAE or CPE.

Exemptions for ELT are possible for applicants who are native English speakers or are attending a university where English is the primary language of daily life and instruction.

Mondo Insieme, in collaborazione con Aspire Worldwide, ha sviluppato tre programmi, fortemente voluti dal Dipartimento di Stato Americano:

  •  Il Work and Travel si rivolge agli universitari di qualsiasi corso di laurea, interessati ad un’esperienza culturale, linguistica e professionale. Il periodo è quello estivo (15 Giugno – 15 Settembre) e il settore è quello turistico: hotel, ristoranti, parchi di divertimento, parchi nazionali, resort, negozi.
  • Per i neolaureati (entro i 12 mesi) si fa riferimento all’Internship, un programma che mira a mettere in pratica le competenze acquisite all’università. Pertanto, per esempio, un laureato in marketing potrà fare esclusivamente un Internship in marketing, e così via. La durata massima del programma è di 12 mesi.
  • Per chi è laureato da più di 12 mesi il percorso di Training è ideale perché permette di lavorare negli USA fino a 18 mesi e quindi di maturare un’esperienza importante da poter spendere al meglio al ritorno in Italia o nel resto del mondo. I candidati devono avere un’esperienza di 12 mesi full time in un settore, che può anche essere diverso da quello di laurea (esempio: laurea in economia, lo studente lavora per un anno nel settore dell’informatica à il Training si attiverà nel settore in cui ha maturato l’esperienza).
