COST

COST (European Co-operation in Science and Technology) invita a presentare proposte per la costituzione di Reti scientifiche (denominate “Azioni”) che contribuiscano allo sviluppo scientifico, tecnologico economico, culturale e sociale dell’Europa. In particolare, COST promuove il networking di ricercatori per condividere e creare nuove conoscenze attraverso approcci trans-, multi- e inter-disciplinari nei diversi campi di interesse.
COST non finanzia attività di ricerca in sé, ma finanzia attività di networking tra gruppi di ricerca, attraverso meeting, brevi missioni scientifiche (“Short-term scientific missions”), training schools e attività di diffusione dei risultati.
Sono particolarmente incoraggiate le proposte che coinvolgano giovani ricercatori all’inizio della loro carriera.

Le proposte devono includere ricercatori provenienti da almeno 7 Stati Membri COST (37 Stati Membri COST+il Cooperatin Member). Dei sette, almeno 4 devono essere Inclusiveness Target Countries.

E’ inoltre possibile, con modalità specifiche, la partecipazione di ricercatori provenienti da Paesi:

  • ‘COST Near Neighbour Countries’: Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Russia, Syria, Tunisia and Ukraine;
  • ‘COST International Partner Countries’: Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Honk Kong, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mauritius, Mexico, Namibia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sudan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United States of America and Uruguay.

Con tali paesi il COST riconosce il rimborso dei costi relativi a determinate attività (ad es. rimborsi per mobilità).

  • NATURAL SCIENCES: Mathematics (research on methodologies of pure and applied mathematics, statistics and probability: mathematics and statistics applied to other fields of science are excluded), Computer and Information Sciences, Physical Sciences (excluding engineering and nano-technology applications to be found under each engineering category), Chemical sciences, Earth and related Environmental sciences, Biological sciences (excluding medical, clinical and agricultural applications);
  • ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY: Civil engineering, Electrical engineering, electronic engineering, Information engineering, Mechanical engineering, Chemical engineering, Materials engineering, Medical engineering (excluding biomaterials and physical characteristics of living material as related to medical implants, devices, sensors), Environmental engineering (excluding environmental biotechnology), Environmental biotechnology, Industrial biotechnology, Nano-technology, Other engineering and technologies
  • MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES: Basic medicine, Clinical medicine, Health Sciences, Medical biotechnology, Other medical sciences;
  • AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES: Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (excluding agricultural biotechnology)
  • Animal and dairy science (excluding animal biotechnology), Veterinary science, Agricultural biotechnology,
  • Other agricultural sciences.
  • SOCIAL SCIENCES: Psychology, Economics and business, Educational sciences (excluding institutional and economic aspects), Sociology, Law, Political Science, Social and economic geography, Media and communications, Other social sciences;
  • HUMANITIES: History and Archeology, Languages and literature, Philosophy, Ethics and Religion (excluding philosophy and ethics applied to other fields of science), Arts (arts, history of arts, performing arts, music), Other humanities.

Il finanziamento per un’azione è indicativamente pari a circa 130.000 Euro all’anno per un massimo di 4 anni. Saranno finanziate circa 30 nuove azioni.

Prossima scadenza: 5 settembre 2019.
