The initiative aims to foster a multidisciplinary reflection on digital society by engaging experts from the academic world and enriching the discussion with the critical insights of a digital services professional.

The digital society has introduced several paradigm-shifts in the organization and functioning of markets, society, and their respective relationships with public authorities. The roundtable aims to foster a multidisciplinary dialogue on how existing legal categories can be applied to govern the new challenges posed by the digital society, and on how the European Union has sought to regulate these challenges through a framework that has evolved over time, recently culminating in its regulations on online platforms and artificial intelligence.
