A PhD program is a postgraduate course of advanced training that equips students with the skills needed to conduct research and contribute to the development of new methods, systems, and processes, combining creativity with independence. A PhD graduate brings significant value to companies and organizations thanks to their high scientific expertise and inter-, multi-, and transdisciplinary skills.

PhD students receive a monthly scholarship that supports them throughout the duration of the program.

Results, Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

The University of Brescia implements a policy to generate, protect, and enhance intellectual property arising from research conducted independently or in collaboration with organizations and companies. This is achieved through confidentiality agreements, patent filings, and transfers or licensing of intellectual property.

Agreements signed with organizations and companies regarding PhD programs define the rules on ownership rights, communication of results, and confidentiality.

Duration and Costs

The PhD program lasts at least three years. The average cost of a three-year doctoral program is approximately €75,000.
