On Thursday 9 December 2021 at the Apollo Rectorate Hall, Prof. Ramon Vilanova, full professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain), was officially conferred the title of Honorary Visiting Professor.
Prof. Vilanova is one of the world's leading experts in the field of industrial controllers and is the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at his university.
He has been collaborating for years with the research group in Industrial Control Systems of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and teaches courses on the doctoral programme.
The Rector Prof. Maurizio Tira, Prof. Roberto Ranzi, Delegate for International Affairs, Cooperation and Development, and Prof. Antonio Visioli, Delegate for International Affairs, Cooperation and Developmen of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, were present at the award ceremony.
