For several years, Università degli Studi di Brescia has offered its entire academic community discounts on sustainable urban and interurban transport. These initiatives not only help protect the environment but also promote an active and healthy lifestyle among students and University staff.
To provide students and staff with discounted travel passes and encourage the use of public transport, the University has entered into agreements with Brescia Mobilità (the city transport company), Arriva Italia (the interurban transport company), Trenitalia (rail transport company) and E-VAI (car sharing).
Every year, the University publishes the Home-to-Work Travel Plan (PSCL) for staff and the Home-to-University Travel Plan (PSCU) for students. The plans aim to provide the academic community with more convenient and sustainable alternatives to travelling by car for their daily journeys to and from the University.
