Third Mission Quality

Quality Assurance of Civic and Community Engagement

The University carries out regular monitoring of its Civic and Community Engagement (Third Mission) with a focus on social well-being and social cohesion, aiming for continuous improvement. Its activities involve sharing scientific, technological, and cultural knowledge, as well as providing lifelong learning opportunities to the community and local businesses, with the goal of supporting the territory’s social and economic development.
The Quality Assurance (QA) of Civic and Community Engagement is guided primarily by the University Strategic Plan and the University Quality Policy, which set out the University’s mission, vision, principles, values, strategic goals , strategic guidelines, actions, indicators, and targets across different areas of activity.

The University’s Quality Assurance (QA) of Civic and Community Engagement is implemented through planning, monitoring, self-assessment, and review processes, which are documented in specific QA reports. In particular, these include the annual monitoring reports of the University Strategic Plan and the University Quality Assurance Unit reports. The periodic evaluation of the QA system for Civic and Community Engagement is carried out by the Evaluation Unit through its Annual AVA Report.

All Departments have an organizational structure with clearly defined roles and responsibilities for the University’s Quality Assurance (QA) of Civic and Community Engagement, and include delegates who also act as coordinators of the Departments’ Quality Assurance Units in this area.
