The University of Brescia adopts an Internal Quality Assurance system both in the field of Education and Research and Third Mission activities and in the field of Technical and Administrative Services.
The Internal Quality Assurance System of the University of Brescia has adopted since 2013 the systems of Self-Assessment, Evaluation and Accreditation (AVA) of the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research (ANVUR) and since 2003 those of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO 9001).
The University therefore has the following general objectives:
- to ensure that the quality of teaching is well documented, verifiable and assessable, fostering the continuous improvement of study courses and PhD programmes;
- facilitate access to information, making it clearer and more comprehensible to students, families and players in the world of work;
- identify and implement actions to achieve the objectives and enhance the results of research activities;
- monitor and enhance the institutional third mission and social commitment initiatives for the territory addressed to all stakeholders;
- improve and certify the quality of administrative service processes, particularly those aimed at students, and research laboratories.
The University adheres with the University Quality Council and the Quality Statistics and Reporting Office to the activities of the Quality and Evaluation Board (QEB) of the European University Project UNITA - Universitas montium.
The University of Brescia is aware that each stakeholder has different needs, therefore, with the support of the Management and the Bodies in charge, it aims to design, plan, implement, monitor and improve each service with homogeneous criteria and consistent with current regulations.
