Each year, the University of Brescia performs strongly in major national and international university rankings, reflecting the quality of its teaching, the strength of its research, and its commitment to sustainability.

In January 2024, the University of Brescia established the University Rankings Committee, renewed in July 2026, to strengthen the University's presence in leading national and international rankings and showcase its achievements in teaching, research and sustainability.

NATIONAL RANKINGS

CENSIS (2025/26): in the CENSIS ranking of medium-sized public universities (with between 10,000 and 20,000 students), the University of Brescia ranks 9th out of 17 universities. Particularly strong results were achieved for graduate employment, where the University ranks 2nd in its category, and for the quality of student services, where it ranks 4th among universities of the same size.

ALMALAUREA (28th Survey – 2026 Report): AlmaLaurea data highlight the University of Brescia's success in supporting students' transition into employment. One year after graduation, more than 88% of graduates from single-cycle master's degree programmes and over 91% of graduates from two-year master's degree programmes are employed.

INTERNATIONAL RANKINGS

THE WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS (2026) AND BY SUBJECT (2026): the University of Brescia is ranked in the 351–400 band in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026. A particularly notable result comes from the Medical and Health subject area, which is placed in the 201–250 band in the THE World University Rankings by Subject, reflecting the strength of the University's teaching and research in the fields of medicine and health sciences.

QS WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS (2027), BY SUBJECT (2026) AND SUSTAINABILITY (2026): in the QS World University Rankings 2027, the University of Brescia is ranked 581st worldwide. In the subject rankings, Medicine is placed in the 401–450 band, confirming the strength of the University's teaching and research in this field.

In the QS Sustainability Rankings 2026, the University of Brescia achieved an overall score of 67.9, ranking 524th among participating institutions. This result reflects the integration of sustainability principles into the University's academic activities, research and social responsibility initiatives.

THE SUSTAINABILITY IMPACT RATINGS (2026): the University of Brescia is ranked in the 401–600 band in the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, which assess universities' contributions to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This result reflects the University's ability to integrate environmental, social and economic sustainability into its teaching, research and public engagement activities.

ACADEMIC RANKING OF WORLD UNIVERSITIES (2025): the University of Brescia is ranked in the 601–700 band in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2025, one of the world's most prestigious academic rankings.

In the subject rankings, the University achieves particularly strong results in Medical Technology (151–200 band), Clinical Medicine (201–300 band) and Management (301–400 band), reflecting the quality of its research and expertise in these fields.
