On 20 June 2025, the University of Brescia will host a meeting dedicated to one of the most topical issues in the agrifood sector: the sustainability of livestock farming.
The event will bring together experts, researchers and institutional representatives to present up-to-date scientific data on the environmental impact of the sector and effective strategies to properly communicate the role of animal husbandry in the ecological transition of agriculture.
Among the speakers will be international experts such as Prof. Giuseppe Pulina (Professor of Special Animal Husbandry at the University of Sassari), Dr. Andrea Rosati (secretary of the European Federation of Animal Science) and Dr. Andrea Bertaglio, a journalist specialised in environmental issues, will speak in the field of popularisation. Research in this field conducted by the University of Brescia will be presented by Dr. Giulia Ferronato.
This will be a useful opportunity for those who want to learn more about the challenges and opportunities of a sector that is often at the centre of public debate.
The conference will be held in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Law - via San Faustino 41, 25122 Brescia, from 2.30 to 4.00 p.m.
