Professor Elisa Fazzi, Full Professor of Child Neuropsychiatry at the University of Brescia and Director of the Complex Operating Unit of Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry at the Spedali Civili di Brescia, has been elected Foreign Corresponding Member of the Académie Nationale de Médecine (French National Academy of Medicine), one of Europe's oldest and most prestigious medical-scientific institutions.
The appointment represents an important international recognition for Prof. Fazzi and underscores the value of her clinical and scientific efforts, particularly in the fields of neurodevelopment, child neuropsychiatry and mental health. Prof. Fazzi will join Division IV - Public Health, Medicine and Society Section of the Academy, contributing her expertise to the definition of shared strategies for the neuropsychological health of children and adolescents.
Already President of the Italian Society of Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry (SINPIA) and a member of the Technical Committee on Mental Health at the Italian Ministry of Health, Professor Fazzi commented: “This achievement is not only a personal honor but also an extraordinary opportunity to strengthen European medical-scientific cooperation and foster dialogue among academic and professional communities across nations”.
