The University of Brescia firmly upholds the principles expressed in Article 11 of the Constitution of the Italian Republic and urges the States involved in the current armed conflicts to pursue every possible effort through negotiation to reach a peaceful resolution. War inevitably causes unjust and needless suffering, particularly among defenseless civilian populations.
By strongly calling for an immediate ceasefire, the University of Brescia also promotes dialogue and peaceful coexistence among students and faculty members, regardless of their nationality.
