During its working visit to attend the 20th ASEA-UNINET Plenary Conference in Brescia, Thuyloi University organised a ceremony to award the ‘Thuyloi's Family’ medal to Professor Roberto Ranzi, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and international expert in the field of hydrology and water resources engineering.
Since 2002, Prof. Ranzi has taught and mentored many Vietnamese master's and doctoral students, particularly from Thuyloi University. He has lectured in advanced programmes developed in collaboration with Italian partners.
To date, he has successfully supervised eight doctoral students from Thuyloi University who studied at the Politecnico di Milano and the University of Brescia, many of whom now hold academic leadership positions at Thuyloi University.
On the same occasion, on behalf of the University of Brescia, Professor Ranzi also awarded a Master's degree in International Business Administration to Professor Hoang Thi Thu Thoa, from the Business Administration Division of the Faculty of Economics and Management. (During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Trinh Minh Thu, former Rector of Thuyloi University, expressed his gratitude to the University of Brescia and Professor Ranzi for their contribution to the training of highly qualified staff and lecturers for TLU).
