The International Academic Conference ‘The first 1000 days of life. Neuroplasticity, Intersubjectivity, DBS Interventions. Healthy emotional neuromental development’ will take place on Wednesday 29 April 2026 from 9am to 6pm in person at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Viale Europa 11.
The conference will address key issues relating to the first 1000 days of life, a crucial period for the neuromental, emotional, relational and social development of every individual: neuroplasticity and early experiences, intersubjectivity and emotional communication.
The international initiative ‘Dialogic Book Sharing’ will be presented, along with its application in social, healthcare and educational services across Italy.
The participation of international professors and researchers, such as Prof. Pier Francesco Ferrari (University of Lyon), Prof. Lynne Murray (University of Reading), Dr Hal Cooper (University of Oxford) and Prof. Massimo Ammaniti (Sapienza University of Rome), makes the event of significant international interest. Presentations will be held in Italian or with simultaneous translation.
The Department of Clinical and Experimental Sciences at Unibs has funded the initiative as part of its Third Mission and Public Engagement activities.
