Type: CRUI agreement. The agreement includes a pilot of the “Subscribe to Open” model for the five journals listed below. Under this model, if the publisher’s required subscription threshold is reached and maintained for a given year - including both subscriptions covered by the CRUI agreement and external subscriptions - the entire annual volume of the journal will be made freely available in open access.

Term of the agreement: January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2027. The “Subscribe to Open” pilot will run from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027.

Benefit: If the conditions described above are met, articles will be made available in open access free of charge. Authors will not be required to pay APCs or any other publication fees.

Publication licences: CC BY or CC BY-NC-ND. When an article is accepted, authors will be asked to choose the licence they would like to apply if the journal volume is subsequently made available in open access. Regardless of the licence chosen, no rights will be transferred to the publisher.

Eligible journals: Studi linguistici italiani, Psicologia sociale, Rivista di antropologia contemporanea, L’Avventura, and Diritto ed economia del terzo settore. At present, the “Subscribe to Open” pilot applies only to these five journals.
