Sitting exams

WHEN CAN I TAKE EXAMS?

Exams are held during the sessions scheduled in the academic calendar, but in some cases there are also tests carried out between sessions for students attending the course.  They can be written and/or oral.

The calendar of exams is available in the exam call Notice Board.

HOW TO REGISTER

To register, you need to log in and enter your personal page on Esse3. Online registration for exam calls and tests is required in order to sit exams. No other method is available for registration.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR EXAMS?

The lesson files are available in the online study plan. In each file you can find the exam programme you need to study, the bibliography and what form the exam will take. These may differ for attending and non-attending students.  Lecturers may also upload other useful materials to e-learning websites for their course.

WHERE IS THE EXAM RESULT RECORDED?

The result of the exam is only recorded in your electronic booklet if you pass.

USEFUL GUIDELINES

In order to sit the exam, you must be fully enrolled and up-to-date with payments of your university fees and contributions; for lessons subject to obligatory attendance, you must have obtained the attendance certificate.

The study plan may stipulate some subjects are being preparatory to other subjects. As a result, you will need to sit the exams in the order indicated.

Some exams require you to accept or reject the grade given by the lecturer: you can do so online in your personal Esse3 page.

You can only acquire the university educational credits awarded for the relevant subject if you pass the exam.
