QS Global Survey Privacy Information

Information notice pursuant to Art. 13 of the EU Regulation n. 2016/679

Please be informed that the EU Regulation n. 2016/679 "General Data Protection Regulation" (GDPR) provides for the protection of people with regard to the processing of their personal data. According to such regulation, this processing will be based on the principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency, adequacy, relevance, purpose and storage limitation, accuracy and updating, data minimisation and accountability.

We, therefore, provide you with the following information:

1) DATA CONTROLLER
The Data Controller is the University of Brescia, with registered office in Brescia Piazza del Mercato 15, represented by the Rector.

2) DATA PROTECTION OFFICER (DPO)
At the Data Controller, the Data Protection Officer (DPO) is available, appointed pursuant to Art. 37 of EU Regulation on 2016/679. The DPO can be contacted as follows: e-mail: [email protected].

3) TYPE OF DATA, PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING The data you provide (title, first name, last name, e-mail address, job title, department, institution, country or territory, subject, phone, position, industry, company name) will be processed to establish a contact for a global survey of academic and employer opinion conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). Your data will be collected and transmitted to QS Intelligence Unit (QSIU), the research and professional services division of QS. QSIU will contact you in the next months with an invite to participate in the QS Global Academic/Employer Survey. Personal data are processed in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, with your prior consent.

4) PROCESSING METHODS AND CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE AUTHORIZED TO DATA PROCESSING
Personal data will be processed by the University Information System staff, using procedures, including computerised ones, and through the implementation of appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect them against unauthorized or unlawful access, destruction, loss of integrity and confidentiality, also accidental.

5) DATA STORAGE
The University shall store data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. Afterwards, they shall be deleted.

6) RECIPIENTS AND CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA RECIPIENTS For the above purposes, in addition to specifically authorised employees and collaborators of the University, your personal data – with your prior consent – shall be communicated to the company QS in order to conduct the aforementioned survey. In any case, your personal data shall not be disclosed.

7) DATA PROVISION
Participation in the survey is on a free and voluntary basis and the provision of data is mandatory for that purpose. Any refusal to provide such data results in your data not being forwarded to the QS Intelligence Unit (QSIU) and consequently your non-participation in the QS Global Academic/Employer Survey. You may revoke your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on your consent given before revocation.

8) RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECTS AND HOW THEY ARE EXERCISED You may exercise their rights under sections 2, 3 and 4 of Chapter III of EU Regulation No. 679/2016 at any time (e.g., rights to information and access, rectification and erasure, restriction and right to object to personal data processing and portability). You have, also, the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (in Italy: the Italian DPA – Data Protection Authority, www.garanteprivacy.it, e‐mail [email protected], certified e-mail system – Posta Elettronica Certificata-PEC: [email protected])
