Internships
The clinical placement model adopted by the Nursing Degree Programme in Brescia is based on a preceptorship approach throughout all three years of study. This model involves one-to-one or one-to-two supervision by an experienced registered professional from the same discipline who is based at the clinical placement site hosting the student.
Within this framework, students develop and refine their clinical skills under the direct supervision of the placement supervisor while engaging in real-world care situations. The professional education tutor collaborates closely with the placement supervisor to coordinate the learning experience and identify educational strategies tailored to the student's individual learning needs, prior experience, and the specific clinical context.
