Oxford University Press (OUP)

Agreement Details

Type: CRUI Transformative Agreement (Read & Publish).

Duration: January 1, 2024 - December 31, 2026.

Benefit: Full coverage of APCs for open access articles, with no cost to authors. The final acceptance date of the article must fall within the validity period of the agreement.

Publication licenses: A Creative Commons license selected from those offered by the journal (where applicable, CC BY is preferred). Copyright remains with the authors and is not transferred to the publisher. An exception is made for certain journals that require authors to assign copyright to the publisher.

Eligible Article Types: Research articles, review articles, case reports, and brief reports. Articles published in journal supplements are not eligible.

Eligible Journals: Approximately 380 hybrid journals published by Oxford University Press. Journals that transition from a hybrid model to a fully gold open access model during the term of the agreement will remain eligible. The agreement does not cover journals that are already fully gold open access.

Eligible Authors

Only corresponding authors who are affiliated with the University of Brescia at the time the article is finally accepted by the journal are eligible. The institutional affiliation of other authors – including the first or last author – is not relevant.
During submission and after acceptance, the corresponding author must indicate their affiliation by selecting or entering the University of Brescia where required. Using an institutional email address is recommended. The declared affiliation will be verified and confirmed by the University Library System staff.

Coverage Limits

No limit applies to the number of APCs that may be covered under the agreement.

News

For fully gold open access journals that are not covered by the agreement, a 15% discount on APCs is available. The publisher applies the discount automatically when the corresponding author declares their affiliation with the University of Brescia.
