The seminar entitled ‘EnergyCare: Synergies for a Sustainable Healthcare’, which will be held on 29 May 2025, from 2.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m., at the Aula Consiliare of the University of Brescia, as part of the Festival of Sustainable Development, in collaboration with ATS Brescia and ASST Spedali Civili di Brescia, will be dedicated to the environmental impact of the healthcare system, examining how healthcare practices and processes contribute to climate change. Advanced environmental impact assessment methodologies will be illustrated and concrete and innovative solutions to reduce this impact will be presented, with a focus on sustainable models applicable in the orthopaedic field. The meeting will also offer practical examples of the synergy between medicine and engineering, emphasising energy-efficient and waste-reducing technologies and approaches, with the aim of promoting a more sustainable healthcare future.
