QUALITY ASSURANCE – DEPARTMENT OF MOLECULAR AND TRANSLATIONAL MEDICINE
The University of Brescia adopts the ANVUR Internal Quality Assurance (QA) System for education, research, third mission/public engagement activities, and technical-administrative services.
The organizational structure of the Quality Assurance System, the University's Quality Policy, and the QA bodies are described on the University of Brescia Quality Assurance webpage.
At the departmental level, the implementation of Quality Assurance procedures for Education, Research, and Third Mission/Public Engagement is entrusted to the Department Quality Assurance Committee (PQD), which is organized into three sections:
Education Quality Assurance Committee
Research Quality Assurance Committee
Public Engagement Quality Assurance Committee
In addition to the Department Quality Assurance Committee for Education, the following bodies are responsible for quality assurance and quality assessment of educational activities:
The Joint Faculty–Student Committee, established under Italian Law No. 240 of 30 December 2010, which prepares an annual report evaluating the quality of the Department's degree programmes by 31 January each year.
The Degree Programme Boards, which, through their Annual Review Committees (composed of the Quality Assurance representatives of each degree programme), carry out the annual review of degree programmes in accordance with the ANVUR Internal Quality Assurance System (AVA).
Since 2023, the ANVUR Internal Quality Assurance System has also been extended to doctoral programmes. Each PhD programme within the Department has appointed a Quality Assurance Representative, who works alongside the Department Quality Assurance Committee to implement quality procedures for doctoral education.
At the departmental level, all these bodies work in close synergy:
the Department Quality Assurance Committees are primarily responsible for implementing quality assurance procedures;
the Degree Programme Boards are responsible for both implementing and monitoring the quality of educational provision;
the Joint Faculty–Student Committee, within the quality assessment process, monitors educational provision, teaching quality, and the services provided to students by academic staff and researchers.
These departmental bodies operate within the University's integrated Quality Assurance framework, which also includes the:

University Quality Assurance Committee (Presidio della Qualità di Ateneo).
