On 11 December, an evening event was held at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Brescia, bringing together science, personal testimonies, cinema and photography to explore how mountain communities are facing the challenge of climate change.

Held on the occasion of International Mountain Day, the event featured Andrea Zatta—creator of the “Ice Stupa Kanskar” Project and the documentary “The Ice Builders”—in dialogue with Professor Ranzi, a scholar of the Adamello and Karakorum glaciers, Vice-Rector for Internationalization Policies and Scientific Director of UNITA – Universitas Montium at the University of Brescia.

The evening was opened by Renato Veronesi, President of CAI Brescia (Associated Partner of UNITA), with the aim of raising public awareness of the urgency of the climate crisis and the need to implement innovative solutions to address it.

At the end of the evening, attendees were able to visit the photographic exhibition "The Last Days" by Michele Gusmeri, which will remain on display in the Engineering spaces until January 21, 2026.
