The Interuniversity Research Centre for Construction Law & Management (CCLM) was established at Politecnico di Milano.
The Centre also involves the University of Milan and the University of Brescia, through its Department of Civil, Environmental, Architectural Engineering and Mathematics (DICATAM).
The Centre’s activities include:
1. Promoting, conducting and coordinating research, publications, and educational, training and editorial activities, particularly, but not exclusively, on topics related to the construction sector, including public and private construction, strategic infrastructure, building and negotiated planning. This also includes promoting and conducting research on topics selected for individual projects.
2. Providing support to public and private entities, institutions, regulatory authorities and economic operators in the analysis, design and implementation of policies and projects relevant to the construction sector, with particular attention to legislative and/or regulatory initiatives affecting the Centre’s field of interest.
3. Facilitating the exchange of information and materials among researchers in the relevant departments of the participating universities, including through collaboration with other research institutes, university departments and research centres of public bodies operating in the field, at both national and international levels.
4. Encouraging and promoting scientific dissemination and interdisciplinary collaboration at both national and international levels, including through research and projects funded by national and international, public and private sources.
5. Promoting international cooperation agreements with foreign research groups engaged in similar research activities.
