Chiara Franzoni, a PhD student in the 40th cycle at the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Brescia under the supervision of Professor Stefano Rinaldi, has been awarded the prestigious "Carmine Landi" Prize for Best Master's Thesis, awarded by the Me.S.E. Interuniversity Research Consortium.
Her Master's thesis, titled "ICT Systems for Electric Vehicle Charging," proposes an innovative charging station management system (CPMS) based on the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), capable of intelligently modulating charging current and power. The work focused on the proposal of smart charging algorithms to dynamically respond to power grid conditions, contributing to stability in smart grid scenarios.
The award, presented during the official ceremony held during the "Italo Gorini" Doctoral School in Aversa on September 5, 2025, recognizes the best Master's Thesis in the field of the application and development of measurement science with a strong experimental focus. The certificate was awarded by the President of the Me.S.E., Prof. Luigi Ferrigno, and by the Directors of the Doctoral School, Prof. Daniele Gallo and Prof. Mario Luisio.
