Conference "Brescia nel Cuore 2.0"

Saturday 28 February 2026
Montini Hall – Spedali Civili di Brescia

Critical care nursing today is faced with increasingly complex clinical scenarios, characterised by high-intensity care, technological evolution and the growing integration of digital innovation and artificial intelligence into care processes.

The conference “Brescia nel Cuore 2.0 – Update on anaesthesia and critical care” was created with the aim of offering an opportunity for discussion and professional development on the main issues in intensive care nursing, enhancing advanced clinical skills, decision-making abilities and ethical and relational responsibilities.

Through presentations exploring the relationship between technology, innovation and care practice, the training course accompanies participants through the sensitive issues of end-of-life care, with a particular focus on Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD), care pathways, nursing skills and ethical and bioethical aspects.

A specific focus will be dedicated to end-of-life care in critical areas, understood as a clinical, relational and human process, in which nurses play a central role in accompanying patients and their families, respecting the dignity, choices and values of the individual.

The conference will be held on Saturday 28 February 2026, starting at 8:30 a.m., in the Montini Hall of the ASST Spedali Civili in Brescia.
