The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the Università di Brescia (DIMI) is organizing the 27th National Conference of the Italian Association of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (AIMETA) from Monday, September 7, through Thursday, September 10.
The conference program is available to everyone at https://brescia2026.aimeta.it/, where you can also download the abstract book for free.
The opening ceremony, on September 7 in the Ridotto of the Teatro Grande, will feature the Rector, Prof. Francesco Castelli; Prof. Alessandro Musesti of the Catholic University; and the President of AIMETA, Prof. Umberto Perego. Also expected at the inaugural session are leading figures from the institutional, economic, and cultural spheres of Brescia and Lombardy: the Deputy Mayor of Brescia, Federico Manzoni; the President of the Province of Brescia, Emanuele Moraschini; and the Vice President of Confindustria, Mario Bonomi. Aldo Bonomi (who will explain the history of the Mille Miglia to participants), Dr. Marco Bassoli (thanks to whom the association will celebrate the 500th anniversary of Beretta’s founding alongside the company), and Dr. Marco Ronchi, who will discuss the role of mechanical engineering in the energy transition from A2A’s perspective. Also speaking will be the President of the Lombardy Region Mobility Cluster, Dr. Saverio Gaboardi; the Director of DIMI, Prof. Rodolfo Faglia; and the President of the Order of Engineers, Eng. Lucio Fattori.
