What happens if the PagoPA payment fails?

If the payment does not close correctly due to a technical anomaly, the system will issue an error message with an invitation to try again later.
If, on the other hand, the procedure completes but it is the financial transaction that fails (e.g. due to lack of availability on the credit card), the person making the payment will receive:

  • an on-screen message with a negative outcome
  • a Telematic Receipt (RT), which will be sent by email, with the warning ‘PAYMENT NOT CARRIED OUT’. The receipt in this case does not have the value of releasing the debt.
