For Ukrainian students enrolling to study at Università degli Studi di Brescia in the 2022/2023 academic year

The University offers scholarships worth €5,750.00 each for Ukrainian students who meet the following requirements:

  • they must be enrolled in first or second cycle university courses (degree or Master’s) in Ukraine for the 2021/22 academic year
  • they must have left Ukraine and asked for international protection in Italy after 24 February 2022 as a result of the conflict currently underway;
  • they must intend continuing their studies and enrolling in Single Cycle  or Second Cycle degree courses for the 2022/2023 academic year
  • They must have a suitable qualification for admission to the degree courses. For the Second Cycle degree courses, they must also have the curricular requisites and personal knowledge stipulated by the educational rules of the course concerned.

The scholarships will be awarded in the order in which the requests arrive, and will be exempted from payment of the all-inclusive contribution.

All Ukrainian students who possess the above requisites are in any case exempted from payment of the contribution.

 

For Ukrainian students enrolling in the Foundation Year during the 2022/2023 academic year

The University offers scholarships that cover the cost of enrolling in the Foundation Year to Ukrainian students who meet the following requirements:

  • They must have completed high school in Ukraine for a total of 11 years of school education;
  • They must have left their country of origin and asked for international protection in Italy after 24 February 2022 as a result of the conflict currently underway;
  • They must intend enrolling in the Foundation Year for the 2022/23 academic year.

The scholarships will be awarded according to the order in which the applications are received.

 

For Ukrainian students enrolling in individual sessions during the period May - July 2022

The University offers scholarships totalling €479 a month for the months during which Ukrainian students meeting the requisites set out below attend the courses:

  • they must have left Ukraine and asked for international protection in Italy after 24 February 2022 as a result of the conflict currently underway;
  • they must intend enrolling individual sessions during the second semester of the 2021/22 academic year;
  • they must hold a qualification that is suitable for admission to the individual courses concerned.

The scholarships will be awarded according to the order in which the applications are received, and enrolment for the individual courses will be free of charge.

 

Visiting PhD Students

The University offers Visiting PhD students, who are enrolled in third cycle (PhD) higher education courses in Ukraine for the 2021/2022 academic year, scholarships totalling €479 a month for each month of attendance for those wishing to undertake a period as Visiting PhD Student at Università degli Studi di Brescia, and who have been deemed suitable by the relevant Board.

 

Visiting Professors

The University offers scholarships to Visiting Professors, to be awarded according to the order in which the applications are received, to those employed as full professor, associate professor or researcher at higher education institutions in Ukraine during the 2021/22 academic year.

 

The available budget totals €150,000, of which €110,000 for students and €40,000 for professors and researchers.
