OFA Physiotherapy

WHO IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AN OFA?

An Additional Learning Requirement (OFA, Obbligo Formativo Aggiuntivo in Italian) is assigned in each of the following subject areas:

  • Physics/Mathematics,
  • Biology,
  • General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry.

An OFA is assigned to candidates who achieve less than 30% of the maximum available score in the relevant section of the admission test.

HOW CAN OFAs BE FULFILLED?

The University provides remedial courses, which can be accessed asynchronously via the Moodle platform.
Students are considered to have fulfilled their OFAs upon:

  • completing 100% of the required course activities; and
  • passing the final self-assessment test.

The self-assessment test may be taken multiple times until it is successfully passed.

Successful completion of the self-assessment test for each OFA course results in the award of an Open Badge, which is recognised in the Esse3 system as evidence that the relevant requirement has been fulfilled.

From December 2026 onwards, completion of OFAs will be recorded in each student's academic record.

To access the learning community links, please consult the Italian course page.

IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THE OFA WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR

All OFA requirements must be fulfilled within the first year of the degree programme.
Students who fail to meet this requirement within the prescribed deadline will remain enrolled in the first year and will be assigned the status of temporarily behind schedule for the entire academic year.
