THE ITALIAN MIN. DECREE 117/2023 PROVIDES FOR A NEW, MASSIVE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS TO SUPPORT ENTERPRISES IN CO-FINANCING INNOVATIVE, INDUSTRIAL PhD SCHOLARSHIPS
The new implementing Decrees of the Italian PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan - Next Generation EU Fund) have made funds available for PhD scholarships having an industrial character: the objective, confirmed by the massive global investment, is to enhance high-level skills profile, particularly in the areas of enabling technologies to co-fund PhD scholarships through the contribution and direct involvement of business companies
The Italian Ministerial funds available under the Ministerial Decree n. 117/2023 are assigned to Universities as implementers of the support measure to enhance research and development activities in companies.
The support takes the form of co-financing at 50% of the three-year cost of a PhD, equal to 30,000.00 euros. The University of Brescia has received the allocation of funds equal to 88 scholarships for 2023, which can be activated thanks to the contribution of partner companies.
This year, further to the availability of direct funds to activate PhD posts with scholarships, the Italian PNRR acts give companies the opportunity to benefit of a two-year tax relief when hiring of PhDs, research fellows and researchers.

Deadlines - EXTENDED FROM MAY 24TH UNTIL
