International Seminar: “WeCare Professional: Prevention and Interventions During the First 1,000 Days of Life”

Wednesday, November 4, 2026
Faculty of Medicine and Surgery - Viale Europa, 11

The event is organized as part of the initiatives of the Interuniversity Master’s Program offered by the Università di Brescia and the University of Milan-Bicocca, titled “WeCare Professionals: Prevention and Interventions in the First 1,000 Days of Life,” for the 2025–2026 academic year. The first 1,000 days of life are a crucial period for a child’s neurodevelopment, during which the quality of experiences and primary relationships with caregivers plays a decisive role in shaping the brain’s architecture, influencing the individual’s health and well-being throughout their entire life.
This international seminar aims to highlight the importance of early interventions to support children and their parents, with a focus on protection, prevention, and the promotion of development, through the authoritative contributions of international organizations dedicated to the protection of children’s and adolescents’ rights, including Gruppo CRC and Save the Children Italia Onlus.
The seminar will also highlight the role of environmental and social factors as “meta-guarantors” of development, supporting families and primary caregivers in carrying out their roles.

The event will be held online in a synchronous format.
Participation is free; registration is required via the QR code or link provided in the attached flyer.
