I am pregnant: whom should I inform?

Promptly notify:

  • the Director of your Specialist School;
  • the person responsible for the institution where you are currently training;
  • the institution’s Occupational Health Service or occupational physician, as instructed by your training site.

This notification is necessary to assess any risks associated with your activities and, where required, temporarily modify your duties or assign you to activities that are compatible with pregnancy.

If you train at ASST Spedali Civili di Brescia, you may contact the Occupational Health Service at [email protected].

At this stage, follow the instructions provided by the host institution for submitting your pregnancy certificate and undergoing any assessment required by the occupational physician.

Applications for maternity suspension, flexible maternity arrangements or early suspension must be submitted separately, together with the documents required for the relevant situation.

Important: notify the relevant contacts as soon as you become aware of the pregnancy, particularly if your activities involve exposure to ionising radiation or biological, chemical or physical risks.
