On Monday, September 30th, H.E. the Ambassador of Vietnam Duong Hai Hung, together with his delegation, visited the University of Brescia, where he met with the Vice-Rector, Prof. Adriana Apostoli, and the Deputy Rector for International Affairs, Prof. Roberto Ranzi.
The meeting was an opportunity to review over twenty years of academic cooperation between the University of Brescia and Vietnamese institutions, focused on advanced education in hydraulic engineering, environmental studies, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, international business, and, in the future, biotechnology.
Currently, there are two research projects with Vietnam, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and international organizations, focusing on water resource management and flood control, which have severely impacted the country again this year, due to Typhoon Yagi.
During his visit to Brescia, organized by Hon. Giangiacomo Calovini, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and present at the meeting, the Ambassador also met with Prefect Andrea Polichetti, Mayor Laura Castelletti and was a guest of Confindustria, given the interest of Brescia business sector in ASEAN countries.
