The University of Brescia expresses its concern and dismay at what is happening in Iran. The academic community in Brescia stands in solidarity with those who suffer from any form of aggression and/or human rights violations and, in particular, expresses its solidarity with Iranian students enrolled at the University of Brescia and their families.
It also declares its firm belief in the primacy of law and the paramount value of mutual respect; for this reason, too, it expresses its sincere solidarity with the communities active in Iranian universities, hoping that the traditional academic propensity for dialogue and discussion will, even in these days of crisis, be able to stem any attempt at violence and oppression.
