Dr. Claudia Agosti, a graduate of the Master's Degree Program in Computer Engineering from the Department of Information Engineering, has been awarded the Leonardo Committee 2026 Degree Prize. The prize is awarded to the most deserving student who has completed a curricular internship at one of the award's sponsoring companies, including Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta S.p.A., where Dr. Agosti completed her thesis.
The awards ceremony took place in Rome on April 14, 2026, in the Salone degli Arazzi of Palazzo Piacentini, on the occasion of National Made in Italy Day. The ceremony was attended by the Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso.
The winners of the Leonardo Prizes and Degree Awards were also received on April 15, 2026, by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, at the Quirinale Palace, during an official audience.
Dr. Agosti earned her degree with a thesis entitled "Development of a Privacy-Preserving RAG System for Technical Knowledge Support at Fabbrica d'Armi Beretta S.p.A." She was supervised by Prof. Sergio Benini. The Department of Information Engineering congratulates Dr. Agosti on this prestigious award.
