Professor Barbara Rita Barricelli from the Department of Information Engineering has been elected Chair of the Technical Committee 13 "Human-Computer Interaction" of IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing) for a three-year term.
IFIP is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit organization founded in 1960 under the auspices of UNESCO. It represents more than 40 national societies and scientific academies involved in Information Processing, Communication Technologies, and Computer Science.
In Italy, the national member society of IFIP is AICA (Associazione Italiana per l’Informatica e il Calcolo Automatico).
The Technical Committee 13 (TC13) focuses on promoting research, development, and application of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), fostering international collaboration among researchers, professionals, and institutions. Its activities include organizing the INTERACT international conference.
