On Sunday, May 11, our University, in collaboration with the C.U.S. - University Sports Center, is organizing the third edition of the UniBs-Run.
After the success of the first two editions, the initiative aims to offer an opportunity for celebration and conviviality, open to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff and citizenship. The objective of the day is to promote sports as a time of aggregation, commitment and determination, but also as a lifestyle and a tool for sharing, with a view to inclusive and sustainable development.
Two routes are available again this year: a 5-kilometer route (also walkable) and a 10-kilometer route. Along the route it will also be possible to practice plogging, a discipline of Nordic origin that combines movement with waste collection, to actively contribute to the preservation of our territory.
5 km route - Municipality of Brescia
Departing from the Abba-Tartaglia Sports Center near the CUS Brescia Club House on Via Milziade Tirandi (Brescia Municipality), follow the bicycle path to Via delle Scuole and then Via delle Razziche, passing under the Tangenziale Ovest. You ride along the Mella River to the bridge on Via del Risorgimento and continue on Via Collebeato to the Polivalente square. From there you retrace the same route to the finish, again next to the Club House.
10 km route - Municipalities of Brescia and Collebeato
The 10-km route also starts from the Abba-Tartaglia Sports Center: from here you reach via delle Scuole, passing via delle Razziche and the Tangenziale underpass. It follows the bike path along the Mella River to via Collebeato, entering the municipality of Collebeato and crossing via De Gasperi, via Roma and via Borghini to the municipal headquarters. The route continues on via d'Assisi, via Fratelli Quaglieni and via Roma, then passing on the path along the west bank of the Mella. It then re-enters the Municipality of Brescia, passing by the Polivalente, and finally back to via del Risorgimento heading back to the Abba-Tartaglia Sports Center.
The meeting is scheduled at 8:30 a.m. at the University Campus at 3 Tirandi Street, where it will be possible to register on site, for those who have not already registered, and pick up the event jersey. The start will be at 10:00 a.m.
There is a registration fee of five euros, reduced to four euros for members belonging to the UniBs community.
