DEPARTMENT OF LAW - UNIVERSITY OF BRESCIA
The Department of Law was established in 2012 (Board of Directors’ Resolution No. 248/15214 of 28 February 2012).
It brings together diverse experience and expertise, integrating past experience and innovative projects into its structure, with the primary objective of promoting interdisciplinary knowledge. Among these, legal knowledge naturally plays a leading role — both from an educational and a research perspective — although it does not exhaust the Department’s educational offering or its commitment to scientific research, as demonstrated by its versatile and multidisciplinary composition.
The Department of Law therefore presents an academic and disciplinary landscape characterised by a significant presence of legal studies, within which the educational provision, the development of research topics and the management of teaching staff resources are organised in a coherent manner.
Since its foundation, particular attention has been paid to aspects of internationalisation and to relations with the local and national legal community, as demonstrated by the existing agreements for early-stage work placements with bar associations, notaries’ associations and labour consultants. The presence of academic disciplines that complement the legal sciences — belonging to various areas of the CUN and, for this reason, cutting across strictly legal fields — significantly enriches the programme’s teaching and research activities.
