The Culture and Research Committee (CCR) of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering coordinates, promotes, and encourages the cultural, research, and scientific activities of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, fostering the active participation of teaching, research, and technical-administrative staff. The CCR includes representatives from all scientific groups.

The CCR organizes the use of funds allocated by the university to the department's budget for basic research, encouraging the formation of interdisciplinary working groups, for example, through the issuance and management of calls for departmental research projects. The CCR promotes and coordinates cultural events, seminars, conferences, and scientific initiatives—such as the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering conference—to disseminate scientific culture throughout the territory. The CCR proposes initiatives to improve the quality of research and teaching within the framework of the department's strategic guidelines and in agreement with the Research Quality Assurance Board.
