VPN for students (OpenVPN)

The OpenVPN Virtual Private Network (VPN) service allows authorized staff to connect to the university network when outside the university premises (for example, from home) through an encrypted connection. This makes it possible to access internal resources, such as license servers, for teaching purposes.

NOTE: Students must NOT use this connection method to access electronic resources off-campus when outside university facilities. Instead, they must follow the instructions provided in the EZPROXY section of the Off-campus Access Information page.

Both desktop operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux) and mobile devices (Android and Apple) are supported.

To use the service, you need to:

  1. Go to the OpenVPN Configuration page and log in with your university credentials (as with other services, the login to use does not include the @unibs.it domain);
  2. Download and install the software for your operating system;
  3. Download the connection profile and open it with the software.

Below are the links to the guides for configuring and activating the VPN on your devices.
