OpenVPN’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) service allows authorised staff to connect to the university network when they are off-premises (e.g. at home) through an encrypted connection.
Both desktop operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux) and portable devices (Android and Apple) are supported.
To use the service you need:
- connect to the OpenVPN Configuration page with your university credentials (please note that, like other services, the login to be used does not include the domain @unibs.it);
- download and install the software for your operating system;
- download and open the connection profile with the software.

For students it is possible to access only the internal university network.
