Admission requirements

  • Upper secondary school final diploma, achieved at least after eleven years of schooling, which allows the student to access a university programme in the education system that issued it
  • For the single courses of the programme, students enrolled in Bachelor’s degree programmes at the University in the academic year 2026/2027 are also eligible to enrol.

Non-EU citizens residing abroad must possess a level of proficiency in Italian equivalent to at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), as required by the Ministry of Education’s regulations on access to university education. To assess this language requirement, candidates holding an eligible qualification will sit the CISIA Italian as a Second Language (L2) test online between 20 July 2026 and 30 July 2026.

The minimum score required for admission to the Foundation Year is 35 out of 72.

In the case of under-age candidates, a legal guardian must be indicated at the time of application and is required to countersign the application form.

It should be noted that, by December 17, 2026, the diploma/attestation and the transcript in the original language and in translation, legalised or with an "apostille", as well as accompanied by a Declaration of value issued by the Italian diplomatic representations on the territory, must be submitted to the International Students Admissions Office.

As an alternative to legalisation and/or the Declaration of Value, the University of Brescia accepts the Statement of Verification and the Statement of Comparability issued by the CIMEA.
