The Interdepartmental University Research Center on Neuromuscular Function and Adapted Motor Activity “Teresa Camplani” is based at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Sciences. To the activity of the Center, to be developed according to the interdisciplinary criteria, can take part professors and researchers belonging to the Departments of Clinical and Experimental Sciences, Information Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and Civil Engineering, Architecture, Territory, Environment and Mathematics.

The aims of the center are to carry out studies and promote research in the field of basic neuromuscular function and in the presence of primary skeletal muscle alterations and of the motor control system through the detection of electro-mechanical-myographic activity. The adapted motor activity, consequent to alterations of the function of muscle groups involved in the movement, is studied in its ergometabolic and biomechanical aspects with the aim of providing data to the functional recovery process.
