Benefit: full APC coverage (no cost for the authors).

Eligible journals: all hybrid journals published by IEEE. See the document below. Hybrid journals that become fully open access during the agreement period are included.

Additional information
Number of articles: limited. After reaching the limit, costs will be charged to authors, who, in the case of hybrid journals, may request to opt out of the open access model and publish under the subscription model.
Eligible articles: original papers, review papers, original researches.
Licences: CC BY, CC BY-NC-ND.
Corresponding author: affiliated with the University of Brescia. It is recommended to use the institutional email address.

NOTICE
The procedure for publication under the agreement is active. All eligible articles accepted from 1st November 2025 onward can be covered.
Subscription articles accepted between 1st November and 15th November 2025 may be converted to open access under the contract at no cost to the authors. Conversion is permitted only if all the requirements set out in the agreement are met (journal, article type, corresponding author) and if the article has not yet been published but is still in the publication process (“early access” on the publisher’s website). To proceed with the conversion, corresponding authors must write to [email protected], specifying the DOI, article title, and affiliated institution; they will receive a confirmation email once the process has been completed.
For open access articles accepted during the same period, reimbursement of any APC already paid is not provided.
