Di seguito si riporta una breve biografia del prof. Boschetti
"Prof. Luigi Boschetti received the M.S. degree in environmental engineering and the Ph.D. degree in geodesy and geomatics from the Politecnico di Milano, Milano, Italy, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. He was a Visiting Scientist with the Natural Resources Institute, University of Greenwich, U.K., from 2000 to 2002, a Research Fellow with the Institute for Environment and Sustainability, Joint Research Centre of the European Commission from 2002 to 2004, and a Research Fellow with CNR—IREA, Milano, Italy, from 2004 to 2005. In 2005 he joined the University of Maryland where he was an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Geographical Sciences. Since 2012 he has been with the University of Idaho where he is a Professor of Remote Sensing in the College of Natural Resources. His research primarily involves the use of satellite data for global environmental monitoring, with a focus on vegetation disturbances, and the development of validation techniques for global thematic products. He is a member of the NASA Science Teams for the MODIS-VIIRS missions and for the Land Cover Land Use Change program."
