Nuovi corsi di studio a.a. 2024-2025

Three New Courses Coming in the 2024/2025 Academic Year : the Bachelor's Degree in Physical and Mathematical Engineering, the Bachelor's Degree in Orthoptic and Ophtalmologic Assistance, and the Master's Degree in Governance of the Public Administration.

The Bachelor's degree in Physical and Mathematical Engineering, with open admission, is created to meet the need for new professionals in the field of information engineering, capable of addressing modern technological and scientific challenges characterized by a multidisciplinary nature and an increasingly high level of innovation. The physical-mathematical engineer is positioned as an innovation expert with a strong inclination towards scientific research. By formulating mathematical models for the simulation of physical and industrial processes and applying technologies based on modern physics to productive activities, they will be able to tackle complex problems with methodological rigor in companies engaged in the development of advanced technologies.

Discussions with local representative entities and associations highlighted the need to train new orthoptists, who are difficult to find at both regional and national levels but are essential to address the growing need for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients of all ages suffering from muscular and sensory deficits in the eye. Through classroom lectures, seminars, and practical exercises, the new Bachelor's degree in Orthoptic and Ophtalmologic Assistance aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge regarding the anatomical structure of the human eye, the physiological processes that occur in the eye during vision, and ocular diseases and conditions, enabling them to conduct a comprehensive assessment of patients' visual function. The course falls within the category of Health Professions and is therefore accessible by passing the national admission test.

The Master's degree in Governance of the Public Administration, with open admission, is a joint offering from the Departments of Economics and Management and Law. Public administrations are undergoing a phase of profound renewal, creating a need for new graduates with legal, economic-business, and decision-making process management knowledge and skills. The course is aimed at new graduates aspiring to a career in public administration, as well as public administration employees wishing to strengthen their skills, also taking advantage of the incentives provided by the ministerial initiative "PA 110 e lode," to which the University of Brescia has adhered. The program consists of two years of study. The first year is common, while the second year offers two different paths for the student to choose from: "Public Policies" and "Public Administration."
