The 10th International Adrenal Cancer Symposium will be held from October 16 to 18, 2026. This symposium serves as an important gathering for physicians, researchers, and related professionals engaged in the study and treatment of adrenal neoplasms, particularly adrenal cell carcinoma (ACC), an extremely rare and complex disease. By combining basic science, translational research, and clinical practice, the program will promote the sharing of the latest discoveries, therapeutic innovations, and multidisciplinary treatment strategies. The dynamic collaboration between the Università di Brescia and the University of Turin is fundamental to the organization of this event. These institutions have long collaborated on coordinated research initiatives focused on adrenal neoplasms. The decision to host the symposium in Brescia not only pays tribute to this elegant and dynamic city in northern Italy but also offers participants a rich environment—both academically and culturally—in which to engage.
The meeting aims to bring together multiple aspects of adrenal oncology:
- Molecular and genetic advances: Exploration of tumorigenesis in ACC, including biomarkers, genomics, and emerging liquid biopsy technologies.
- Translational bridges: connecting the laboratory to the patient’s bedside, highlighting how mechanistic knowledge can guide patient care and how clinical observations can spark new research questions.
Clinical innovation: surgical strategies, adjuvant therapies, systemic treatments (including mitotane, chemotherapy regimens, new targeted agents, and immunotherapy), and multidisciplinary management of complex cases. - Networking and Collaboration: promoting international partnerships—among endocrine oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, nuclear medicine specialists, pathologists, and patient advocates—to accelerate progress in this niche field.
- Education and Mentorship: providing early-career researchers and clinicians with opportunities to interact, present their work, and learn from established experts in the field of adrenal cancer.
