Razvan Stefan Cobzaru of Iseo's Istituto Antonietti is the winner of the regional phase of the 2025 Neuroscience Olympiad, the initiative aimed at stimulating young people's interest in learning about the human brain, which was held Saturday, March 15, at the University of Brescia's Medicine Campus. Second place went to Laura Lusha from Liceo Arnaldo in Brescia, while third place went to Luca Ferri from Liceo Aselli in Cremona.

Welcoming the 54 students from 14 high schools and institutes in Lombardy was Prof. Marina Pizzi, Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Brescia and coordinator of the event.

The day saw students test their knowledge in the field of neuroscience in dynamic and engaging challenges. During the day, Dr. Luca Falciati, professor of Physiology at the University of Brescia, also spoke about how physical activity can improve memory, attention, learning and well-being with the talk “The brain in motion: physical activity, brain plasticity and cognitive functions.”

The initiative was held thanks to the contribution of young researchers, fellows and doctoral students from the Pharmacology Section and with the support of the Camillo Golgi Foundation and the company Trony (c.c. Campogrande).
