Published the results of the second edition of the QS rankings: the University of Brescia rises to 354th place in the global ranking
The results of the second edition of the QS Europe Rankings 2025 have been published, the first QS ranking dedicated to the best universities in Europe (the ranking includes universities from the 46 countries in the Council of Europe). The University of Brescia ranks 354th out of a total of 685 European universities, climbing 15 positions compared to 2024.
In Europe
The University of Brescia stands out in Europe particularly for the scientific productivity of its researchers (Papers per Faculty), ranking 83rd. It also performs well in terms of citations (Citations per Paper), which is the number of times an article is cited (137th place), and sustainability (153rd place).
In Italy
Among Italian universities, 51 of which were surveyed in total, the University of Brescia ranks second for the number of citations (Citations per Paper) and first among public universities. It ranks fourth for the ratio of international students to the total number of students in relation to the diversity of the nationalities from which they come (International Student Diversity). It ranks fifth in the Faculty Student Ratio indicator—namely the ratio between the number of students and teachers, demonstrating the University's commitment to teaching—and eighth for the number of international teachers (International Faculty Ratio indicator).
Excellent results were also achieved for the following indicators:
- Sustainability (social and environmental impact): 13th place
- Employer Reputation (skills of graduates upon entering the workforce): 14th place
- Employment Outcomes (graduate employability): 17th place
- Academic Reputation (academic excellence): 20th place
- Papers per Faculty (scientific productivity): 21st place
