The results of the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026 have been published on the topuniversities.com website. This new edition is the first ranking entirely dedicated to European universities, analyzing 958 institutions across Europe.
The Università di Brescia is ranked 362nd overall with a total score of 33.5 points.
The ranking methodology is based on five indicators:
• Research and Discovery (academic reputation and research output)
• Employability and Outcomes (employer reputation and graduate employment rate)
• Learning Experience (faculty/student ratio)
• Global Engagement (internationalization in research, teaching, and student mobility)
• Sustainability (social and environmental impact, as measured by the QS Sustainability Ranking)
In Europe
At the European level, the Università di Brescia stands out particularly for Papers per Faculty, achieving 23rd place with 97.9 points, an improvement of 60 positions compared to the previous edition.
Positive results were also recorded for Citations per Paper, where UniBs ranks 141st with 79 points, and for Sustainability, placing among the top 300 European universities (227th place) with a score of 80.2 points.
In Italy
Among the 64 Italian universities included in the ranking, the Università di Brescia is second among public universities for Papers per Faculty, with a score of 20.9 compared to the Italian average of 4.2 points.
It also ranks third in Italy for Citations per Paper, exceeding the national average (12.9 vs. 9.2).
The University of Brescia also ranks in the national top ten for Faculty Student Ratio and International Student Diversity.
Positive outcomes were also recorded for:
• Employer Reputation (18th place)
• International Faculty Ratio (18th place)
• Sustainability (21st place)
Scores for Employment Outcomes (24.3 vs. 17.8) and Research Internationalization (44.2 vs. 37) also exceed the Italian averages.
