Internships of the Single-Cycle Master's Degree in Pharmacy

For the Master's Degree Course in Pharmacy, internships are foreseen from the fourth year.

The University and the teachers of the course have entered into a new agreement with the Order of Pharmacists which allows students of the 2019/20 Cohort and subsequent cohorts to be able to safely start the internships envisaged in their Study Plan.

The internships of the Master's Degree Course in Pharmacy will take place in local pharmacies from the 2022/2023 academic year.

University Placement Tutor

University Placement Tutors are responsible for supervising students during their placement. They are required to review the placement proposal submitted by the student, monitor the number of hours worked by the student, and liaise with the external tutor at the pharmacy should any issues arise in relation to the placement.

A tutor will be automatically assigned only once the minimum requirements for undertaking the placement have been met.

The tutors appointed up to the 2025/26 academic year are as follows:

University Supervisor

The supervisor’s duties are as follows:

  • To apply the final digital signature to the Training Plan submitted by the student in order to commence the placement;
  • To digitally sign the Trainee’s Logbook once the placement has ended.

Erasmus Placement Tutor

The Erasmus Placement Tutor is responsible for managing placements undertaken abroad following students’ successful applications to Erasmus and Erasmus+ schemes.
